An Elevate SaaS MSP partner had to automate a high volume of weekly financial transactions for one of its customers. The MSP was reconciling hundreds of invoices per week by hand, plus coordinating payment status updates between ELEVATE, the customer's Coupa system, and the MSP's Intacct financial system.

ELEVATE Connect leverages Workato to pull detailed invoice information from ELEVATE and deliver it to the customer's Coupa financial application via cXML. The same metadata goes to the MSP's Intacct system. When customer payment is received, the invoice in ELEVATE is updated with payment information and marked "paid by customer."

This single automation eliminated the MSP's administrative burden of managing hundreds of invoices per week for that customer, and gave suppliers near-real-time payment information so they could reconcile their own invoices with payment data far more easily.

Most VMS platforms in this market were architected before the cloud and have been renovated ever since. Elevate was not. Elevate ships an MCP server. Model Context Protocol is the emerging open standard for connecting AI assistants to real systems, so the agents your team already uses can work with your workforce program without anyone building a bespoke integration first.
An open standard, not a private one
MCP is a published protocol, so any compatible client can connect. Your program isn't locked to our chat window, bring the assistant your organisation has already standardised on.
The same rules as every other client
An MCP session authenticates like any other API consumer, inherits the caller's role privileges, stays inside the tenant boundary, and lands in the same immutable audit log: actor, timestamp, reason.
Guardrails travel with the data
The risk scoring that governs MEL governs agent access too. High-risk writes propose rather than execute, and wait for a human. Tenant data never leaves the tenant boundary.
Every workforce platform is adding a chat box. The harder question is whether your own AI stack can reach the program data: to answer a sourcing question inside your assistant, pull spend into a finance agent, or let a procurement copilot check a supplier's scorecard without a human exporting a spreadsheet first.
